چکیده

Serum creatinine concentration is an important clinical measure of kidney function. However, standard methods detection, such as the Jaffe method or enzymatic assays, suffer several disadvantages, including non-specificity and procedural complexity, high cost, respectively. In this work, we propose use nano-molecularly imprinted polymers (nMIPs) in conjunction with novel Heat Transfer Method (HTM) a promising alternative sensing platform to these existing for measuring serum concentration. More specifically, it shown that creatinine-imprinted nMIPs can be produced using solid-phase templating method, simple drop-casting onto cheap, disposable substrate used HTM detect limit-of-detection (7.0 ± 0.5) μM buffer solutions. Furthermore, are selectively bind comparison similar molecules, demonstrated able changes complex blood plasma samples.

Design of molecularly imprinted polymers for diphenylamine sensing.

A series of the polymers imprinted with diphenylamine (DPA) and respective non imprinted polymers were synthesized using precipitation polymerization. Synthesized polymers were characterized by Fourier Transform Infra-Red spectroscopy with Total Attenuated Reflectance (FTIR-ATR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and equilibrium batch re-binding experiments. Influence of the synthesis conditio...

Array Formatting of the Heat-Transfer Method (HTM) for the Detection of Small Organic Molecules by Molecularly Imprinted Polymers

In this work we present the first steps towards a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP)-based biomimetic sensor array for the detection of small organic molecules via the heat-transfer method (HTM). HTM relies on the change in thermal resistance upon binding of the target molecule to the MIP-type receptor. A flow-through sensor cell was developed, which is segmented into four quadrants with a vol...

Molecularly imprinted polymers in chemical and biological sensing.

In recent years the field of sensor technology has developed enormously, and biosensors in particular have attracted increased interest. This can be attributed to an extended demand for sensor devices for monitoring and control in biotechnology, the food industry, in the biomedical field, and in environmental analysis. Being highly sensitive and specific, biosensors provide an attractive altern...

Citrinin selective molecularly imprinted polymers for SPE.

Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) for citrinin (Cit) with 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid (HNA) as mimic template were prepared and the molecularly imprinted SPE method was developed for the detection of Cit in rice with HPLC. The adsorption properties of HNA and Cit on the MIPs and nonimprinted polymers were investigated. It proved that MIPs showed higher selectivity adsorption to HNA and Cit t...

Molecularly Imprinted Polymers for Sample Preparation

The sample treatment/preparation steps involve any operation and manipulation of the samples prior to instrumental determination of the target compounds [1−3]. This is a critical step in the analytical process because the concentration of target analytes in the samples is frequently too low for quantification. Thus, the first step of the preparation protocol involves the exhaustive extraction/c...
